NLRB Leader Reinstated by Judge
This week U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell reinstated Gwynn Wilcox to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), criticizing President Donald Trump for her unlawful dismissal. Judge Howell emphasized that the president does not possess absolute authority in removing federal officials, reinforcing the principles of checks and balances inherent in the American political system stating, “A President is Not A King”. Ms. Wilcox is the first Black woman to serve on the Board since its inception in 1935, and is also the first Black woman to serve as Chair of the NLRB.
Conflict Musk and Cabinet Officials Leads to Change
After open conflict and widespread frustration within the Trump Administration with Elon Musk’s DOGE, President Trump is changing his management directives to his cabinet officials regarding staffing and policy. Trump is shifting decision making power to Cabinet officials with consultation from the Department of Government Efficiency on budgetary and workforce decisions.
